1. What services does HEZA offer?

We provide a range of financial services including small business loans, group loans, agricultural financing, asset financing, and savings products tailored for individuals, SACCOs, and small enterprises in Uganda.

2. Who is eligible to apply for a loan?

Anyone aged 18 years and above with a valid national ID and a steady source of income is eligible. We work with both individuals and groups. Applicants must reside within our service area and be willing to provide basic Know Your Customer (KYC) details.

3. What documents do I need to open an account or apply for a loan? To apply, you typically need:
  • A valid National ID

  • Passport photos

  • Proof of residence (e.g., LCI letter)

  • A guarantor or group membership (for group lending)

  • For businesses: Trading license or business record

4. How long does it take to receive a loan once approved?

Once all documents are submitted and the loan is approved, disbursement usually happens within 24 to 72 hours, depending on the type and size of the loan.

5. What happens if I miss a loan repayment?

We encourage timely payments, but if you're facing difficulties, reach out to us immediately. We may offer rescheduling or other solutions. However, consistent defaults may result in penalties, credit blacklisting, or loss of collateral depending on loan terms.
